- It is time taken by mother’s body to return back to its normal stage and undo this hormonal and physical changes that were build to sustain pregnancy.

Discharge during Puerperium is known as
- Lochia: It is the vaginal discharge for the first 2 to 3 weeks during puerperium. The discharge originates from the uterine body, cervix and vagina. It has fishy smell.
