CONCEPT:

For 2 numbers:

First number × Second number = LCM × HCF

CALCULATION:

Let the two numbers be ‘x’ and ‘x + 8’ respectively.

Using the concept:

x × (x + 8) = 576 × 8

⇒ x × (x + 8) = 72 × 8 × 8 = 64 × (64 + 8)

⇒ x = 64

∴ Sum of both the numbers = x + (x + 8) = 64 + 72 = 136
