According to Article 317 of the Indian Constitution, the Chairman or any other member of a Public Service Commission may only be removed from office by order of the President for misbehaviour after the Supreme Court, upon the President's referral, has reported that the Chairman or such other member, as the case may be, ought on any such ground to be removed.
