Sakshi Malik became the first Indian woman wrestler to win an Olympic medal, as she clinched the bronze in the women's freestyle 58 kg category early on IST in Rio de Janeiro.
Malik beat Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan in the bronze medal match 8-5 following a sensational comeback in the second period, after trailing 0-5 at halftime.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she won the bronze medal in the 58 kg category, becoming the first Indian female wrestler to win a medal at the Olympics.
